AMP Elevate – Business Expenses Insurance is a robust insurance product designed for self-employed people or business owners, whose business income would be likely to fall if they were unable to work due to illness or injury.

If you make a successful claim under your business overheads insurance you will receive a payment of up to $40,000 a month for up to a year, once your waiting period has passed. This money can be used to pay your regular business expenses including rental or repayment costs on your property, utility bills, staff salaries, interest on your business loans, and accounting or audit costs.

Depending on the nature of your business you can choose a waiting period of between 14 and 90 days. During this period you may be able to attend work in a partial capacity for up to 10 days to keep an eye on your business.

• Automatic waiver of your premiums on this and any other AMP insurances listed on the same schedule while you are receiving payments under a claim.
• Partial payment of your benefits if you are able to return to work but your earning capacity is considerably reduced as a result of your illness or injury.
