Asteron Life's "Get Better" Insurance is designed to help you through a serious illness or injury, whether or not you are able to return to work. Rest and lack of stress can be vital to successful recovery from serious conditions, and Trauma Cover offers a lump sum payment to relieve your financial pressures.

There are two levels of Trauma insurance under the Asteron Life Complete range: Trauma and Trauma Plus. The Trauma Plus option covers a wider range of conditions, but both policies have a number of built-in features including the right to suspend your premiums and cover for a while if you need to. Asteron Life will automatically pass on any improvements to their Trauma insurance product where these won't increase your premiums.

Asteron Life Complete Trauma Cover can be purchased as standalone cover or linked with a Life Cover policy, held inside or outside of your superfund. Your trauma policy can be owned by an SMSF, but you should seek expert advice about the structuring of your trauma insurance because this could restrict your ability to access benefits if you need to make a claim.

Asteron Life Complete Trauma Cover policies offer protection until you reach age 75, after which point you may have the option to convert your policy into a ‘modified TPD' policy which will provide you with some ongoing insurance. Optional extras include a reinstatement clause and the right to increase the level of your Trauma Cover.
